A spring-mass sytem can be modeled mathematically as to be identical to a inductive-resitive circuit. While the inductance of the voicecoil does play a role, it will ultimately be the iteraction of the inductive/capacitive/resistive properties of the speaker with that of the amplifier that will determine how it performs. I'm a mechanical engineer, so I had to take electrical circuits class, with LCR circuits in all their glory in school just like you did. Mike ------------------------------------------------------
